Can't Decide

I hate to see a loss like this. It was 20 points, so I'm going to blame Dirk, Terry, and Van Horn. Dirk couldn't shoot. Terry couldn't shoot. And Van Horn can't do anything. Griffin was our most consistent player, and he's not supposed to be.

However, I don't like what's going on with the refs. Before the game, or early into it, Nash bumped fists with one of the refs. When I saw it, I immediately pointed out the impact that would have on the game. Dirk earned his 1st foul. It was obvious, and there was no argument. His 2nd foul was very questionable. If anything, it looked like James Jones pushed off. That took Dirk out of the game for the meantime, but he never found any rhythm afterwards.

If the refs are going to call all of the little fouls, that's fine. If they are going to let contact go, that's fine also. But you can't have it one way for one team and not the other. The refs have to be consistent.

We didn't lose because of the refs. But they sure had their fingerprints all over this game.

During one rebounding opportunity, Nash grabbed Dirk's jersey and pulled him to the ground. There was no foul on the play.

When asked about that non-call during the post-game press conference, Dirk replied, "Next question."

Call it all, or let it go. The refs need to choose.

And I'm going to make myself a drink.

Digging

So yea, things are going well for Mavs fans. We're up 2 to 1, and if we would have taken care of the ball in game 1, we would be up 3 to nothing. Win game 4, and this series is done.

And yea, Miami is going to win their series. I've been saying for a while now that Detroit is a bit overrated. Their crazy record is inflated by the fact that they play in the Eastern Conference. And of course they were going to wear out as the playoffs went further. They only have 6 quality players. Even so, I didn't expect Miami to be this good. D-Wade is killer. Still, just lambs for the slaughter once the real Finals start.

I cleaned up my room and went through the boxes in my closet. I found some interesting stuff, but most of it was just old.

The funniest thing I found was something I had written during one of my classes. I was in that phase when I was looking for approval, acceptance, validation, etc.

Always move forward,
Never move backwards,
Don't just try,
You have to be the best.

But, what would I put for the "FBomb" in front if it now?

Forget the past,
Be realistic,
Only think about yourself,
Make it possible,
Believe.

Either way. I need to wake up early for a change.

Keep It Going

Haha...I had another drink tonight. But this one was because I was so happy about the Mavs win.

I think that on MySpace, if you don't accept or deny a friend request within a month, it disappears. Guess that's one decision I'll never have to make. And it's not my fault.

Well, I guess it is my fault in a way. I let it sit there. I couldn't choose. I didn't know what to do. Then again, if you really have to think about it, then you probably shouldn't. Besides, now I can forget about it all and move forward.

Alright. I'm going to lay down and enjoy this win.

Awake

I haven't been able to sleep well over the past few nights. Of course, thinking about the Mavs hasn't helped any.

Game 2 is a must-win. In fact, we need to win 2 of the next 3. If we don't, we will lose this series. And I will lose my mind.

Speaking of which, I think Erik wants to see a movie tomorrow night. If it isn't early, I'm not going, because a Mavs game is more important to me.

I had another drink today. Irish Creme and Ice. It's really killing my stress, and I'm able to relax again. Toss in some ice cream, and it's a fun day.

Alright, that's enough. My plan is to lay down, close my eyes, and just think.

Bad Start

I'm pretty sure Boris Diaw picked up his pivot foot on that game-winning shot. No call there.

I'm pretty sure that if I were the coach of the Mavericks, I wouldn't put the ball in Stackhouse's hands in the final minute, with the lead. Same goes for Adrian Griffin.

Why would you cover their biggest player in the paint with Stackhouse?

How could the refs call an offensive foul on Devin Harris with less than a minute to go?

Two turnovers and a foul cost us the game.

Piss-poor defense and bad ball-handling. Late game turnovers and unnecessary fouls.

We just have to bounce back and win 2 of the next 3 games. It's not impossible. We just need more will than what they have.

I created a podcast the other night. Was bored, so I decided to kill a few hours. Click here and then click the title.

I'm also having my first drink in the last 2 -1/2 years right now. Irish Creme on the rocks. I just really need something to kill that feeling you get when you lose a game.

Nowhere

I've been awake for over 22 hours now. I could keep going.

There are so many things I could say, but I don't know what words to use. And if I did know the words, I wouldn't know the order. I'm home, but I don't feel like it. Yet, I also don't feel like I'm away from home. It feels like I'm in the middle of a forest, and any direction will lead me out. Out is where I want to be.

I really need a creative outlet. I can't be creative on here. Maybe if I were writing a short story, or a novel.

Guess it's back to dreaming.

I'm There

Check out the pic to the left...that's Gregg Popovich mounting Tim Duncan. Greatness.

Mavs won. They're up 3 to 1. Just get me one more win.

And now I have to wake up in 5 hours so I can take my last final. Afterwards, I'm going home for the rest of the week.

Much Needed

I play my French Horn for the last time on Thursday. Finals on Friday, Saturday, and Tuesday. Really sucks.

But Tuesday will be nice also. I'll go home for a few days. Haven't been home since March.

I can't even think about that though. For some reason, I'm only allowing myself to think about my finals. It's a strange thing.

Umm...I guess the past week hasn't been exciting or anything. We turned in our CS 352 report, and the prof left. Didn't bother reviewing or anything. Some of the girls in the class were having a "Girl Day" specifically for that class. They wore dresses and everything. So, with the free time we had, we went to the computer lab and played games. Fun times.

The group also had the idea of having a "End of the Group Project" party-type thing. That was on Monday. We met up and played more games. There were snacks and such. Yea, that was fun too. I left a bit early to eat some pizza at DoubleDave's. Then I had to help my bro out with his new USB Wireless Adapter. Worked on that while watching basketball.

I did a ton of cooking this past weekend. Plenty of chicken and such. I'm getting pretty good.

I like to shop. I like to give. I like to listen. And now I can cook. Getting better all of the time.

Pushing

I was feeling a bit nostalgic...

...and I read so many great things. Sincere compliments.

I'm better than this.

By far.
