Haircut and coloring tomorrow afternoon. Then I kill two days (Tuesday and Wednesday) before I go back to Austin.
Still on pace to graduate this December. Everything is going smoothly, and as long as I remember what classes I need to take, I'll be fine. I do have a resolution for this year, and that's to put more effort into my classes. I'm going to show up to classes, I'm going to start projects earlier, and I'm going to put homework first.
I know I can get by with going to class twice a month, doing the homework the night before, and studying for an hour when I have a test. But I don't want to just 'get by' anymore. I need to get serious. I have less than a year left before I get this degree. One year of hard work and I can start building my life.
So, 2006 is about finishing what I've started. It's the final step before I hit my next plateau. Will I stay and get a 2nd degree? Will I go to graduate school? If so, where? Or will I start my career? What city do I want to call home?
I've thought about the answer to a few of these questions. The most probable outcome is that I stay at UT and get a 2nd degree. The next most likely is that I go to grad school. And it would have to be somewhere cold.
If I start searching for a job, I'll go wherever the best opening is. If I have to choose between Austin and Dallas, I will most likely choose Austin. There aren't enough reasons for me to choose Dallas over Austin.
Then again, I have a year to think about.
