Old Music To My Ears

Again with the meaningful post...

Today I remembered all of the music I listened to years back. I had forgotten about The Vines and Red Hot Chili Peppers. With some help from some "friends," I "borrowed" some old CDs. I feel so happy again.

My mom visited this weekend. My dad is currently in El Paso. It's been a year since my grandmother passed away, so he went home for a little while. I feel bad for not being there, but it's probably better this way. I still feel like the outcast of the family. My aunts treat me like I'm a stranger in their house. Well, maybe I'm exaggerating. Eh, maybe not.

The Boondocks is going to be on soon. It's a great episode tonight. Real offensive. I highly recommend watching it.

I'm almost ready to start moving. All I have left is to pack, throw away old junk, and take apart some stuff. But I do have 2 weeks to do it all. Plenty of time if you ask me.

I've really enjoyed the bus rides to and from campus. In that 47-minute span of time, I get to listen to my music and think about anything I want to. Usually I just close my eyes and try to remember anything I can. Ask me a question about 5 years ago, and I probably don't have answer. I'm trying to fix that.

I've heard from a few old friends recently. It's a total change for me. Usually I go years without hearing from someone. Now it's every other day or something.

Otherwise, not much else has been going on. I have a writing exercise in Spanish tomorrow. I also have some program to write this week. I should focus on that.
