Music In My Ears

I'm doing everything except studying.

I feel so lazy right now. And that's odd considering I just drank some new energy drink. Something called "Vault." It tastes alright, but it's putting me to sleep.

I don't really have much to discuss. Tuesday is going to be real fun since I get to stay on campus until after 9 or so. Evening tests suck.

Guess I could explain some of my selections.

I really like A Perfect Circle. Orestes, 3 Libras, and Breña take me back to 2001. I feel connected to the lyrics also, especially with "Give me one more medicated peaceful moment." Gravity is in there because I always feel weighed down.

Audioslave has been in my rotation since their first CD came out. Number 1 Zero sticks out for me because it's exactly what I am. I don't do or say anything, but I'm always there listening to whomever needs it.

Cat Power is fairly new for me. Her voice is interesting, and I don't mind falling asleep to soft music. The Greatest has one line I can appreciate. "Once I wanted to be the greatest..." That's me right there.

Queens of the Stone Age is another one of my favorites. I Never Came is one of those songs that everyone should hear at least once. The story is crazy.

Radiohead was my favorite group for a long time, but I don't listen to them as much now. Still, Bulletproof...I Wish I Was is the song that describes me.

Red Hot Chili Peppers brings back memories, and I don't mind that. Californication is one song I can fall asleep to easily.

Atlantic is the only song I like from Thrice, and the live version of Maps is incredible. Definitely go get it on iTunes.

Cat Power is from Seattle (as is Modest Mouse, Death Cab for Cutie and the Postal Service). We are spoiled here. =)
